Your baby is around 16 inches long and weighs approximately 4 pounds.

Your baby is continuing to grow. His toenails and fingernails have formed. The lungs are continuing to mature and your baby’s skeleton has completely formed, although his bones are very soft and pliable. Your baby can now move his head from side to side, although it’s getting a bit cramped inside your uterus now.

The top of your uterus is now about 5 inches above your belly button. Because the top of your uterus is so high, you may begin to have trouble breathing, due to the pressure on your diaphragm.
Your blood volume has increased by 40% during the past 32 weeks, allowing your body to accommodate both you and your baby. This increased volume is important because it makes up for the blood you will lose during delivery.

The bigger mum's bump gets, the harder it is for her to walk without ‘waddling’. Arching your back to compensate can cause back pain, so try to stand as straight as possible.

Cravings can really kick in around this time. Often mums get the urge for something sweet, like chocolate. While it’s important to eat a healthy diet, the piece of chocolate won’t hurt you or the baby and is good because it will top up your magnesium and iron levels.
